Hotel Jelínkova vila is situated not far from the centre of Velké Meziříčí.

The town is situated in the valley surrounded by the hills of the Czech-Moravian Highlands, in an immediate vicinity to the D1 motorway. It was built up on the confluence of the Oslava and Balinka rivers.

The historical centre was declared as an urban conservation area. One of the most important monuments is the castle (originally a citadel from the 12^th century). Another monument is St. Nicolas Church built in the Gothic style, Renaissance Lutheran Grammar School, Jewish synagogue and partly maintained fortification with a castle gate.
